Manual vs Death Pile

Results matter.

Four months working with Ghoulia helped us outsell our full 2025 manual-listing revenue by 53%.

Side-by-side comparison of a manual listing draft and a Death Pile generated listing draft.

Built by resellers, for resellers.

Death Pile came directly from obsessing over our own workflow. What do we do with all of these items? How do we find more hours in the day?

Who made it

Built by a software engineer and reseller duo.

Lexi and Nick operate out of Denver, Colorado. If you live here, you might spot us at the Goodwill bins or other sourcing spots hunting for our next find.

Why we made it

It started with... jeans?

We built this app after Lexi bought 102 pairs of jeans in one afternoon. We asked ourselves, what is the fastest way to list them? The answer was: Death Pile.

Why we love it

Death Pile enables business growth without more employees.

Designed to reclaim your time by removing steps and automating the busy work.

Who it is for

Established sellers who already use a crosslisting service.

We make it easier to get inventory out of your house and onto the platforms so you can spend time finding more great inventory.

Questions

A few things resellers usually ask first.

What do I have to do?
Take photos of the item, including tags, flaws, and measurements like you do already. Add additional notes if you want. Ghoulia does research for you on each item and asks for approval. Once approved, Ghoulia creates the listing details you review before posting.
Do I still have to fill out a bunch of information?
That is the problem we are solving. Much of the listing work is filled in for you: title, description, item details, categories, tags, and a marketplace-ready draft.
What is Ghoulia?
Every AI needs a great mascot. Ghoulia is an AI virtual assistant built for clothing resellers. She handles the repetitive listing work you would otherwise do yourself or pay someone else to do. Faster, cheaper, more consistent, always available, and still reviewed by you.
Why not just write the listings myself?
You can, but your time is usually better spent sourcing, photographing, shipping, organizing inventory, and making judgment calls. Ghoulia takes on the blank-form listing work so you can keep the business moving.
Do I need to photograph the tags?
Yes. For clothing, tag photos are important and most resellers already take them. Brand, size, material, and care tags help Ghoulia fill out an accurate listing.
How accurate is it?
Accurate enough that we use it ourselves in a real resale workflow, but you still review before posting. Death Pile is built to remove the blank-form work, repetitive research, and data entry; not remove your final judgment.
Do I still have to weigh and bag items?
Yes. You still weigh, bag, store, and ship the item. Death Pile focuses on the listing work: turning item photos into marketplace-ready drafts.
Do you create shipping labels?
No. Shipping labels are handled by marketplaces like eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari. Most clothing items in our workflow go out in polymailers after they sell.
Is Death Pile focused on clothing?
Yes. Death Pile is built around clothing resale because that is the workflow we use and understand deeply. Other categories may be ingested partially but clothing is the focus.
Does Death Pile handle pricing?
We have an internal clothing pricing tool that we use in our own workflow, and we are rolling out access to beta users. Death Pile is focused on listing inventory you are ready to photograph and post, not replacing thrift-store sourcing apps.
Can I use this while sourcing at a thrift store?
That is not the main use case. Death Pile is designed for the pile of inventory you already bought and need to list. Pricing support may help with decisions, but the core workflow starts when you are ready to photograph and post.
How do you know this works?
We use Death Pile in our own clothing resale workflow. As of May 2026, our weekends-only resale operation has done about $13k in revenue and $8.3k in gross profit this year.
How does Death Pile make money?
Death Pile is the software we use, separate from our own resale revenue. As we move out of beta, we will charge users for access to the listing workflow and related tools.
What is a "death pile"?
A death pile is reseller slang for the inventory you meant to list but have not gotten around to yet. If looking at yours makes you anxious, you are exactly who this is for.
